A Little Wine, a Little Dine at Village District’s New Postino Wine Cafe

Thank you to the @postinowinecafe / Postino Wine Cafe crew for inviting us to test drive their new @shopvillagedistrict / Village District spot with them on preview weekend! 🍷

We loved the team service, from the welcoming front door crew to the servers with handhelds, which is perfect for ordering several rounds of small plates to share, which is 100% how we recommend you enjoy this spot. In particular? The mix-and-match foods like the bruschetta, which were so generous in the portion, we brought home the leftovers to top with poached eggs for killer brunch on Sunday. 🍳 The toast was not so chewy that you make a mess eating the bruschetta, and they were pre-quartered, which was so nice!

We were surprised to find no wine flights on the menu, given the “experience it all” vibe, and also to find no spirits list to accompany the cocktail menu.

Menu prices are very value-driven for the quality received, and we were pleased that it wasn’t too dark—there was no need to whip out your camera light to peruse the menu. 😂 The lively atmosphere featured upbeat music that made it a little hard to hear our server, and we suspect larger groups would be limited to chatting up your next closest friend.

With three drinks and several food items selected, we had a very reasonable $100 original tab, on which we were treated to a gracious 50% discount for being a willing training guest. Well done, team! We will, in fact, be back for lunch wine, which ain’t a crime! 🥂
